WHO WE ARE

Hi! My name is Sarah Farrar-DeLucia. I am a long-time resident of East Lansing/Okemos MI and I am a science teacher in Lansing, MI. I grew up in Michigan and ventured down to this area for college. I graduated from MSU, where I am also pursuing my masters degree in Public Health. I am a mother to an incredible 18m old boy and am married to an amazing husband. I am a Christian, strong in my faith, and rooted in my community. I am an Army service member finishing up my contract this year and will be graduating with my masters this December from MSU! I enjoy all things Michigan and specifically the unique pieces that the greater Lansing area has to offer, however I knew there was a hole in this area.

Like me, I know so many others that longed for a place to bring their child for safe play and the ability to connect with other parents and community members . When I was a SAHM for over a year I knew this hole needed to be filled. I went from dreaming about it, to accomplishing it and creating, The Red Cedar Play Cafe.

We are a play cafe located in Ingham County focusing on drop in play, play groups, community groups, birthday parties and other gatherings, all with the amazing addition of a cafe to feed those little bellies and energize you hard working adults! We don’t just stop there however, we want this to be a place where everyone in the community feels welcome!

So come on in, bring the kids, meet the community, and stay a while! I look forward to meeting you!
